Executive Coaching

listenHighly effective executive leadership coaching

Everyone needs to take stock from time to time and think about where they’re going and how they’re going to get there. The heavy demands placed on senior professionals in business today make it increasingly difficult to take time to reflect and refocus.

A good coach will provide a balance of challenge and support, helping to bring increased clarity in your day-to-day work and when unexpected challenges present themselves.

We provide senior executive coaching as a stand-alone service and to support our leadership and management development programmes.

Coaching can be delivered face-to-face or by telephone, and out-of-hours sessions can be arranged to suit your busy schedule.

Our Executive coaching services are ideal for those senior leaders and managers who need…

  • someone they can turn to for support and constructive feedback
  • a sounding board to discuss day-to-day issues and unexpected challenges
  • and the opportunity to take time out to reflect and refocus.
How does it work?

An Executive coach is a professional who is trained to listen to, challenge and understand you. Your coach’s role is to provide vital guidance, encouragement and momentum to help you overcome challenges and move forward both personally and professionally.

We’ll design an executive business coaching programme to meet your exact requirements. However we’ll follow these four steps to set up and implement your individual programme:

Step one – Setting the framework

Before coaching can begin we need to develop a contract that expresses the way we’ll work together.

First we’ll talk with you about the issues you face and what you want to develop. We’ll also discuss what you hope to get from the coaching process. This meeting can take place in person or over the phone. Depending on your position it may also involve your sponsor or line manager.

Step 2 — Getting feedback and creating a development plan

To prepare for your programme we’ll gather information about you and your performance. We’ll ask you to complete a 360° questionnaire, which will involve you gathering feedback from a number of nominated colleagues. We’ll also ask you to complete a profiling questionnaire, appropriate to what you want to achieve.

This information will enable us to build a personal development plan for you, including clear and measurable personal development goals that can be evaluated at the end of the programme.

Step 3 — Individual coaching sessions

Now we’ll be ready to start the coaching sessions themselves. Your coaching programme may run for three months, a year or longer, depending on your needs.

We’ll arrange face-to-face meetings or telephone sessions, at times to suit you. Some people prefer short regular sessions while others prefer longer, less frequent sessions. The choice is yours, but we’ll guide you towards the best solution for you.

Step 4 — Evaluation and follow up

Once the executive coaching programme has come to an end, we’ll work with you to review your journey and take time to reflect on how well you’ve worked towards the outcomes and goals you set at the start. We’ll also help you to set a further action plan to enable you to keep up the momentum generated by the coaching process.
