Some of our participants share their experience of our coaching programmes:“I started a series of five coaching sessions with Peter in the autumn of 2008, each session lasted for approximately two hours each and the programme lasted for 9 months. I was impressed right from the start by the professional and thorough approach that Peter had to his work. Peter took time to make it clear to me what I could expect from him and what he expected from me. The contract said that Peter’s role was, “to respond to my needs and my agenda and it was not to impose an agenda on me,” and this is exactly what happened. The contract also covered things such as the outcomes, confidentiality and information, time and logistics, professional boundaries, ways of working and commitments. When we started I was unsure how things would go. What I found was a very gifted and talented coach who encouraged and stimulated me to work on a number of issues that I had either been avoiding or not had the time to think about. When I started working with Peter I was considering my future. I had spent nearly five years getting the foundations and infrastructure right for the organisation and I did not know if I could take the organisation forward into a time of growth. Early on Peter asked me to consider, “If the next 18 months were to be your last with TFG and your whole time there would be judged on it, what would you do differently?” This question was the catalyst for everything that followed. Peter helped me weigh up and consider the options before me and I chose to go for growth with TFG. At each session Peter gently enabled me to discover for myself the answers I needed to find. He was not afraid to ask the awkward, challenging questions but he always did this in a way that gave me the opportunity to accept or reject them. We worked through a great deal in those five sessions and after each one, Peter asked me to work on a particular aspect of our discussion before we met again. He also wrote up some brief notes which he sent to me after the session and these kept us focussed. I believe that I and TFG have benefitted greatly by working with Peter. I am very pleased that I took up the opportunity of the coaching sessions and I am very grateful to him for his experience and expertises. I would highly recommend coaching by Peter and Performance for Growth. ” Rev David Williamson - CEO of Time for God (TFG) (A UK charity and company limited by guarantee) "Peter coached me at a time when I was facing some new and specific challenges in the workplace and needed to take a step back to assess the situation and take the appropriate measures. Peter accompanied me throughout this process and really adapted the sessions in accordance to my needs and the changing situation. From the first meeting I felt I could trust him and I could already see how our work together was going to benefit me and my career. He really helped me look at things in a logical manner to rebuild my confidence and to discover my own strengths to build on them. The tools and techniques and self awareness I have acquired will be invaluable to help me deal with any future challenges and drive my career forward. I would not hesitate to recommend Peter’s coaching services." Marketing Manager – UK National Charity “Peter has a great ability to draw out of you using his various techniques the true cause of your weaknesses. With Peter's help I was able to identify those habits that prevented me from being the most effective. He was then able to give me tools and techniques from his years of personal experience that allowed me to improve my performance. I would recommend Peter as a coach based on my own positive experience." ” E-Commerce Manager – Global FMCG Business "I have recently completed an Executive Coaching Course with Peter. I was very impressed with his calm, relaxed, and professional approach. His flexible, reflective style ensured that the sessions always followed the need of the coachee, rather than a pre-determined agenda set by the coach! One of Peter’s skills is helping you apply ‘text-book’ coaching models to the practical situations experienced by managers in their day-to-day work. I found this mix of theory and practice was the key to the success of my Executive Coaching. Peter is a strong ‘people person’, which makes the sessions with him both stimulating and enjoyable. I would strongly recommend his services." David Cryer – Head of Retail (UK-CHARITY)
